Terms of Service

These terms are the deal between you and Camsurf. They are written to be read by a person, not just a lawyer — if a clause leaves you unsure, ask support before you assume.

The plain-English summary, which never replaces the full text: be old enough under the law that applies to you, treat the stranger on the other side of the camera decently, never scam anyone, pay for what you buy, and remember that Camsurf introduces you to people — it does not vouch for them.

1. Accepting These Terms

Opening Camsurf and using it means you accept these terms in full. If you do not agree with them, the answer is easy: close the tab and do not use the service.

The terms cover everything that runs under the Camsurf name: the website at camsurf.cc and every feature on it — random matching, video and text chat, country and language filters, reporting, and any purchases. If you use Camsurf on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have the authority to bind it.

2. Who Can Use Camsurf

You may use Camsurf only if you meet the minimum age the law in your jurisdiction sets for a service like this. By using it, you confirm that you do — and that no previous removal or ban from the platform applies to you.

3. Your Account

You can try Camsurf as a guest with no sign-up, and your first match is free. Creating an account unlocks continuity — and it also makes the account yours to protect.

An account is personal. Do not share it, sell it, or hand it to someone who does not meet the age requirement. Whatever happens through your login is your responsibility, so keep your credentials private and tell us right away if you think someone else has them.

4. What Camsurf Provides

Camsurf is a browser-based random video chat service: press start, get matched with another person who is online, and talk. It runs in the browser with nothing to install, and no sign-up is needed to try it.

The product evolves. Features may be added, adjusted or retired, and we do not promise uninterrupted availability — a live video call depends on your connection, your device, and other people happening to be online.

One point to be direct about: Camsurf connects you with other users. It does not verify who they are, endorse them, or sit inside your conversations.

5. Your Camera, Your Content

You keep ownership of whatever you create or show. By broadcasting it through Camsurf you grant us the licence needed to transmit and display it so the service can function — nothing broader than that.

Assume anything visible on your camera can be captured by the person you are matched with: a screenshot, a screen recording, a second phone aimed at the display. No platform can prevent that. Do not show anything you would not want to outlive the conversation.

6. Playing by the Rules

The full conduct rules live in the Community Guidelines, and they are part of this agreement. The short version — do not:

  • Harass, threaten or pressure anyone
  • Keep contacting someone who has asked you to stop
  • Record or repost another person's video without permission
  • Expose anyone's private information
  • Ask users for money, gift cards, crypto or off-platform payments
  • Ask for passwords, verification codes or payment details
  • Impersonate another person or a Camsurf staff member
  • Run bots, scrapers or automation against the service
  • Attempt to breach, overload or reverse-engineer the platform
  • Use Camsurf in a way that breaks the law where you are

7. Matching and Staying in Control

Matching pairs you with another available person, but no outcome is guaranteed — wait times, call quality and who you meet vary with availability, region and network conditions. The mechanics are explained in how Camsurf works.

You always hold the controls. Skipping ends a match and looks for the next one. Blocking prevents further contact. Reporting sends context to the moderation team for review.

8. Free Matches, Coins and Payments

Camsurf is free to start — your first match is free, and you can try the product without paying anything. That free allowance is limited, can change, and is not a promise of unlimited free use. The detail is on the free video chat page.

Longer or premium sessions can use coins. Prices, inclusions and any renewal terms are displayed in the product before you pay, and that display is what governs — figures are deliberately not fixed on this page because they change. Everyday questions about free matches and coins are answered in the Help Center.

Coins are a licence to use features inside Camsurf. They are not currency, not a deposit, not transferable outside the platform, and carry no cash value.

Refunds follow the terms shown at purchase and applicable law. Filing a chargeback without contacting support first may lead to account restriction.

9. Third-Party Services

Camsurf depends on third parties for things like payment processing and analytics, and may link to sites we do not operate. Their terms and privacy practices are their own, and a link is not an endorsement.

10. Intellectual Property

The Camsurf name, brand, interface and the software behind the service belong to Camsurf and its licensors. These terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the service — not to copy it, resell it or build on top of it.

11. Enforcement and Ending Access

Breaking these terms or the Community Guidelines can lead to a warning, feature limits, suspension or permanent removal, depending on what a review finds. Serious cases may be referred to the appropriate authorities.

You can stop using Camsurf at any time. We may suspend or end access where the terms are broken, where the law requires it, or where continuing would put other users at risk. Unused coins are generally not refunded when an account is removed for a violation.

12. Privacy

What we collect, why we collect it and the choices you have are set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement. Cookies are covered there too.

13. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Camsurf is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any particular person will be available to talk to.

We do not vouch for the identity, conduct or intentions of other users. Meeting strangers online carries risk that no platform removes — the habits that reduce it are collected in the Safety Center, and it is worth your time.

To the maximum extent the law allows, Camsurf is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for the conduct of other users. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the entity operating Camsurf is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where mandatory consumer-protection law in your own jurisdiction gives you stronger rights, this clause does not take them away.

Before filing anything formal, contact support and give us the chance to fix it — most issues settle faster that way.

15. Changes and Contact

These terms change as the product does. Continued use after an update means accepting the updated terms, and where a change is material we will make reasonable efforts to make it visible.

Questions about these terms go to Camsurf support, or write to us at support[at]camsurf.cc.

The Agreement, in One Line

Be genuine, be decent, pay for what you use — and the product is yours to enjoy. If that sounds fair, start your first video chat and see who is out there.
